Basmati rice

Basmati rice is a long-grain rice variety native to India. In Hindi “bas” means fragrant and “mati” means full of, referring to the rice’s distinctly aromatic characteristics. Basmati rice is very soft and easy to digest. Since your little one’s digestive tract is not yet fully developed, this rice is a great option to feed your baby for a boost of energy.Green peas

These tiny pods are sweet and delicious with an impressive nutritious value. They are rich in iron and folate which work together to build healthy new red blood cells. Peas also help build a healthy functioning nervous system due to their high content of magnesium and vitamin B6 , both of which have a calming and soothing affect on the nerves.

The reason why animal protein is recommended for babies is because it contains vitamin B12 , a very important vitamin that is extremely difficult to obtain from plant foods. Vitamin B12 is essential for blood production. During periods of rapid growth, a baby’s body is working on increasing blood volume, simultaneously increasing the demand for this unique vitamin to get its job done. Meat is also a good source of protein and zinc , two important nutrients that support that natural rate of growth and development of your child.

  • Gently heat in pan for 3-5 mins, or until thawed

Alternatively, Microwave – From Frozen

  • 60 – 90 seconds on full power, stirring between 30 second intervals
