Our delicious chicken emapanadas starts with our house made pastry dough and chicken filling. The chicken Filling is made out of SJ Chicken broth, chicken breast, Caramelised onions, Carrots, Celery, potatoes and roasted garlic. Chicken empanadas are delicious no matter how you serve them and they can be enjoyed for lunch, dinner, as an appetiser, or snack!
Whole Wheat Flour
Our chicken empanadas are made with whole grain wheat flour. Whole grains are a great source of B vitamins which are needed to protect the nervous system, proper brain development, and healthy metabolism. Whole grains also contain minerals such as magnesium, selenium, and zinc, all of which aid the health of your growing child. And finally, whole grains are an excellent source of gut friendly fiber that protects the digestive system, aids its function, and balances energy and blood sugar levels.
We use premium quality farm raised chicken fed on a vegetarian diet without the exposure to antibiotics. Chicken is a rich source of protein! It is important for children to get enough protein from their diets for proper growth and development.
Hidden Veggies (carrot, potato, celery, onion)
Each serving of our chicken empanadas contain 4g of vegetables! These vegetables raise the vitamin and mineral content of the empanada’s giving your little one a boost of nutrients with every bite!
Remove Empanadas from freezer about 20 minutes before baking.
Preheat oven to 200 C
Place parchment paper on baking sheets, and place thawed empanadas
(Optional) brush top with egg wash
Thaw Empanadas 20 minutes while preheating oven
Bake until golden brown, Rotating halfway, 10 – 12 minutes Caution: HOT! Check temperature before feeding your child Storage: Store in freezer at – 18 C or Cooler
Once heated, consume within 24 hours.
