20% daily recommendation of vitamin K for children. Vitamin K is important for blood clotting and healthy bone formation
15% daily recommendation of vitamin B6 for children. B6 is critical for a healthy functioning nervous system and plays an important role in the production of Serotonin aka “the happy hormone”
Dairy (Milk + Cheese + Greek Yogurt)
The dairy in this muffin provides your child with protein and adds a heaping load of calcium and magnesium to its nutritional value. Calcium is the main component in bones and is needed in high demand for children whose bones are growing at a fast rate. Magnesium is a mineral that helps transport calcium into bones protecting the skeletal integrity. We use unbleached whole wheat flour for our muffins. Unlike white flour which is stripped off its vital nutrients. Whole wheat flour maintains its protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals that are essential for your child’s health.
